All about Hugh Weathers

Hugh Weathers was born and raised in Bowman, South Carolina. He’s a farmer and a businessman. He’s a husband and a father, and a committed conservative leader.

Farming has been a part of Hugh’s family for more than three generations now. His grandfather first milked cows in 1927. And while times have changed, and the farm has grown, Hugh has never forgotten the virtues that his grandparents and parents taught him. And those values – hard work, faith in God, love of country, and service to others – are the same values that Hugh and his wife Blanche have passed on to their three sons.

After getting his diploma from Bowman Academy, Hugh chose to attend the

University of South Carolina where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance. Immediately following college, Hugh began his professional career serving as a corporate banker. But, ultimately Hugh wanted to pursue his dream of working on the family farm.

So, in 1980, he returned to Bowman to serve as the co-owner of Weathers Farms, Inc. Since then, the operational has expanded to include a full service bulk milk delivery business as well as a row crop farm.

In his free time, Hugh enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf and basketball. Hugh, his wife Blanche and their sons are members of Bowman Southern Methodist Church.
