Ensuring Food Safety Maintaining a safe and healthy food population is a chief priority for the South Carolina Department of Agriculture. The relocation of the State Farmers Market has been a long-term goal for the Department of Agriculture. The new Farmers Market will serve as a valuable resource for agriculture throughout the state. In addition to encouraging expanded market opportunities, the Farmers Market will serve as stage of sorts for all that South Carolina agriculture has to offer.
